Flight A of the inaugural Okada Micro concluded with 14 players advancing out of 115 entries into the ITM round. Leading the pack is Russia's Azamat Shafiev with a stack of 489,000 (81 bb). Shafiev eliminated a list of players throughout the day including Marciel Cerbito during the final hour with pocket Twos standing up against overcards. Shafiev sets the bar for the next flights.

The survivors have a two night break and will return on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 where they are all guaranteed a piece of the PHP 1 Million prize pool.

However, Cerbito misses despite more outs added on the flop to get the boot.

Marciel Cerbito opens the hand with a 7000 raise that's called by the button player Azamat Shafiev. When the flop comes 9♦ K♦ 7♥ , Cerbito checks, Shafiev fires 9000, Cerbito calls. Again Cerbito checks when the turn comes 5♣ , Shafiev bets 18,000, and Cerbito still calls to head to the river K♠ . Once more Cerbito checks, Shafiev goes all in for 257,000, Cerbito only has 27,000 behind and opts to hold on to ti.

Following his double up, Marlon Laxamana lost another pot then recovered to get out of danger once again. Dwon to just 10 bb, he kicked off the hand with a raise of 2600 that found four callers. At the flop A♠ 4♥ Q♣ , Laxamana shoved his last 8000 and won the pot with everyone folding.

Seung Hyun Han looks down at A♥ A♠ and raises to 800 from hijack. Two spots over Azamat Shafiev likes his connectors 9♣ T♣ and calls as the blinds fold.

Both players check the flop 6♣ 2♣ 7♣ , then on the turn T♥ , Han goes all in for 14,200, Shafiev doesn't hesitate and snaps it off. Han is drawing dead to the flush to go bust.

From early position, Albert Castillo raises to 800 that finds three callers to toss in the chips for a splashy pot of 3800. All four players check the flop 7♥ K♠ A♥ and head to the turn Q♥ . Following three checks, Jongsu Kim takes a chance for 1000, only Castillo responds with a raise of 3000, Kim folds to send the pot to Castillo.
