Okada Micro (4,500 PHP)

Flight A of the inaugural Okada Micro concluded with 14 players advancing out of 115 entries into the ITM round. Leading the pack is Russia's Azamat Shafiev with a stack of 489,000 (81 bb). Shafiev eliminated a list of players throughout the day including Marciel Cerbito during the final hour with pocket Twos standing up against overcards. Shafiev sets the bar for the next flights.

The survivors have a two night break and will return on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 where they are all guaranteed a piece of the PHP 1 Million prize pool.

Seitaro Aso is dealt K♠ J♦ at under the gun and raises it up to 12,000. He nearly steals the blinds and ante until the big blind Ramon Pablo defends with Q♥ T♥ . At the flop 6♠ K♥ 7♠ , Aso bets 9000 for his top pair and Pablo check-calls. Both players check the turn 2♥ , then Pablo tries to steal on the river 4♣ with a bet of 20,000, however Aso doesn't see any scare cards and makes the call.

Pablo shows the bluff and loses the pot to Aso's pair.

After nine hours of play, the bubble round has been reached with 15 players remaining and only 14 advancing into the money round.

However, Cerbito misses despite more outs added on the flop to get the boot.

After relinquishing a pot to Alexander Goh, David Deltreuilh three-bets all in from the button with A♥ 3♥ and cutoff raiser Dennis Gamboa calls with 5♦ 5♣ . With the board running 4♠ Q♥ 3♠ 5♠ 3♣ , both improve. Gamboa's full house ships it and dusts Deltreuilh.

Battle of the blinds, the pot had grown to 21,000 by the turn 8♥ 3♠ 6♣ 7♥ . Small blind David Deltreuilh checked then called big blind Alexander Goh's 14,000 bet however on the river Q♦ , Deltreuilh could not pull the trigger on Goh's 25,000 bet.

Mark Alvin Israel rides his winning momentum but has been given the brakes by Minsung Kim. The hand opens with an 8000 raise from Kim that Israel calls on the small blind. When the flop lands 3♥ J♦ J♣ , Israel check-calls 7000 however on the turn 2♦ , Israel opts to fold to the 19,500 continuation bet.

Mark Alvin Israel is on a roll having picked up more chips due to his aggression. On a turn board 2♠ A♦ 3♦ 2♦ and 30,000 in the pot, Israel bets 12,000 and David Deltreuilh calls. On the river A♠ , Israel moves all in for 130,000, this time Deltreuilh let's go of his hand.

Big blind Mark Alvin Israel defends his big blind with a raiser and caller before him. At the flop 4♠ 4♦ T♥ , preflop raiser Gamboa continues for 10,000, one player folds, while Israel check-raises for 25,000. Gamboa can easily afford it but opts to fold.

Marciel Cerbito opens the hand with a 7000 raise that's called by the button player Azamat Shafiev. When the flop comes 9♦ K♦ 7♥ , Cerbito checks, Shafiev fires 9000, Cerbito calls. Again Cerbito checks when the turn comes 5♣ , Shafiev bets 18,000, and Cerbito still calls to head to the river K♠ . Once more Cerbito checks, Shafiev goes all in for 257,000, Cerbito only has 27,000 behind and opts to hold on to ti.

Robert Daniel Tolentino makes it 7000 from under the gun and is called by two players. At the flop 5♦ T♥ 9♣ , it is checked to button Alexander Goh, he slides out 10,000, only Tolentino continues to bring about the turn 3♦ . Check again from Tolentino prompts Goh to fire 16,500, which is enough to claim the pot.

Action has slowed down around the room with small pots being won. Alfonso Castro was one who chipped up, defending on the small blind by calling Alexander Goh's 7000 preflop raise. On the flop 2♣ 3♥ 9♦ , Castro led 7500 and Goh called. After they both checked the turn K♠ , Castro bet 50,000 on the river 7♥ and won the pot.

Jeong Seonghun is facing a raise that's called by hijack Justine Talaroc. From the big blind Seonghun three-bets 20,000 and only Talaroc pays to head to the flop 2♥ J♥ A♦ . Seonghun contiues for 7000, Talaroc calls, then fires it all on the turn T♣ for 53,500. Talaroc backs down and folds.

Just announced, out of the 115 entries for Flight A, only 14 players are guaranteed a spot in the money round.

With the turn 8♣ , Castillo is still ahead then with the river Q♦ , Castillo crashes out.

Pantaleon Valencia makes it 3000 from hijack and gets called by cutoff and big blind Jeong Seonghun. Everyone proceeds to be friendly at the flop A♦ 3♠ 9♠ with no bets on the table. On the turn 9♣ , Valencia slides out 3000 and only Seonghun calls. Valencia bets again on the river 2♠ for 3500, Seonghun opts to give up his hand.

With only a straight to help Ungria, the outs don't arrive on the river 5♠ for Kim to claim another stack.

Both players have to pair with Valencia in a trouble with his lower kicker, that is until the river comes J♠ to spike the lucky four outer.

Both players are drawing with Kim ahead with king-high. The turn K♦ grants Kim a pair leaving Marquez with just 4 outs. It doesn't come on the river 8♠ to send Marquez out of the tournament area.

Four players in a raised pot preflop brings the pot to 12,000 as the dealer spread the cards 3♠ 5♥ 8♣ . Small blind Robert Daniel Tolentino leads out for 2700 to lose only one player as three head to the turn A♣ . Tolentino fires again, sending out all of his chips worth 27,000 and finds no callers to claim the pot.

Jongsu Kim kicks off the hand with a 3500 raise, three players call to build a healthy 15,200 pot. They proceed to check the flop J♦ K♥ 8♠ , then Kim leads out 10,500 on the turn 8♣ . Everyone folds.

With the turn 5♦ and river 5♠ , Perreau scores a double up as Okimoto plunges to 3000 (3 bb). Two hands after, Okimoto is eliminated by Jerick Dela Cruz with 9♣ 9♥ overflow J♦ 4♦ that missed the board.

After the board runs, Alway lands a pair to double through. One player asks "is that how you do it in Jersey?", Alway replies "I always win when I go all in."

Button player David Deltreuilh looks down at J♦ 3♦ and raises 2500, big blind Alfonso Castro defends with T♣ 9♦ to take them to the flop 2♠ A♠ 9♣ . Deltreuilh continues for 2500 that doesn't shake off Castro who check-calls his pair. Same action on the turn Q♥ with a check-call by Castro for 5500. The river is then dealt 5♠ , check again by Castro, Deltereuilh bets 50,000 which well covers Castro's 13,500 stack, Castro tanks then finds the call to expose the bluff and double up.

Following his double up, Marlon Laxamana lost another pot then recovered to get out of danger once again. Dwon to just 10 bb, he kicked off the hand with a raise of 2600 that found four callers. At the flop A♠ 4♥ Q♣ , Laxamana shoved his last 8000 and won the pot with everyone folding.

Catching the action on the turn with 22,500 in the pot and a board showing 5♦ Q♣ 3♦ 6♠ . David Deltreuilh has his entire stack out front amounting to 55,000, Edwin Dela Cruz has less behind and tank-folds.

On a raised pot preflop initiated by Ali Ali Al, three players go see a flop 4♦ J♣ 8♣ . Following two checks, button Pantaleon Valencia tests with a bet of 2600 and only

Al calls. Valencia fires again on the turn 7♦ for 5000 and it's enough to win the pot uncontested.

Action folds around to the small blind Youngseok Baek who has 9♦ 8♠ and makes it 2000, big blind John Philip Baider has A♦ 6♠ and defends. Betting continues on the flop 5♣ 3♥ T♥ with a 1600 bet from Baider, Baek check-calls with nothing that improves to an open-ended at the turn 7♣ . Again Baider is given the go-ahead and bets 4000 with his ace-high, Baek calls. The river J♠ gives Baek the nuts and he jams for 14,600. Baider surprisingly calls then plunges to less than 2 bb as Baek doubles up.

Alexander Goh raises 1200 and three players make the call to bring about a flop of A♠ 6♦ 5♥ . From cutoff, Marlon Laxamana takes the reins for 2400 that's called by Benhur Ybarsabal and Goh while losing one player. On the turn K♣ ,Ybarsabal takes his turn in the driver's seat witha bet of 7000, Goh answers with a check-shove of 25,000, Laxamana and Ybarsabal both fold.

Sanders is drawing with Bulauitan ahead, with the river 5♣ , Bulauitan further improves to a flush to clean out Sanders.

Minsung Kim opens for 1500, the blinds call - Roy Khor and Alexander Ungria. Kim lays out min-bet of 500 at the flop Q♦ 5♥ A♦ and the blinds check-call. Kim pumps up to a 4000 bet on the turn 6♠ , and this time the blinds both give up their hand to Kim's aggression.

Maria Gonzales kicks off the hand with a 1200 raise from under the gun. Three players call to see the flop A♦ 7♣ 2♥ , then all three fold to Gonzales's 2500 continuation bet.

Seung Hyun Han looks down at A♥ A♠ and raises to 800 from hijack. Two spots over Azamat Shafiev likes his connectors 9♣ T♣ and calls as the blinds fold.

Both players check the flop 6♣ 2♣ 7♣ , then on the turn T♥ , Han goes all in for 14,200, Shafiev doesn't hesitate and snaps it off. Han is drawing dead to the flush to go bust.

From early position, Albert Castillo raises to 800 that finds three callers to toss in the chips for a splashy pot of 3800. All four players check the flop 7♥ K♠ A♥ and head to the turn Q♥ . Following three checks, Jongsu Kim takes a chance for 1000, only Castillo responds with a raise of 3000, Kim folds to send the pot to Castillo.

From the button, Marciel Cerbito calls hijack David Deltreuilh's 800 raise then both check it to the turn Q♠ 3♦ 2♥ 9♠ . Deltreuilh slides out a 2500 bet, Cerbito answers with a 5100 raise, Detlreuilh doesn't back down and calls. The 9♦ completes the board. Deltreuilh checks, Cerbito continues the aggression for 3500, Deltreuilh calls, and Cerbito relinquishes his hand with a fast muck.

Alexander Goh continues the momentum into the next level by raising 2000 from the button that's called by limper Benhur Ybarsabal. On the flop 6♣ 8♠ J♥ , Goh fires another 1500 that's again called then on the turn J♦ , Goh makes it a larger 4500 to see the river and this time Ybarsabal gives up his stake in the pot.

With the turn 8♣ , Riga is drawing dead to Goh's full house. The river 5♥ improved Riga to a straight but changed nothing.

Looking down at A♣ 3♥ , Peter Ferrie defends his big blind by calling a 700 raise from under the gun Marciel Cerbito. When the flop comes 3♦ T♦ K♣ , Cerbito sends out 600 and Ferrie calls with his bottom pair. The turn 6♣ is checked by both then on the river 5♣ , Ferrie slides out a light 600 bet, Cerbito takes the bait then mucks when shown the small pair.

On a three-way limped pot, Chase Turnquest calls Jeong Hanyong's 400 bet on an all spade flop 9♠ T♠ 2♠ as the big blind drops off. Another spade comes on the turn K♠ and this time no bets land for the board to complete 3♠ . Hanyong checks once more, Turnquest takes a chance with a small 500 bet, and it's good enough to win the pot.

Following a limp, Choi Younsik defends the button with a 700 raise only to be challenged with a three-bet of 2600 by small blind Sangkyu Lee. After the big blind and the limper fold, Younsik makes the call to bring about a flop 9♥ 5♦ 9♠ . Lee continues for 1600 and that does it to win the pot.

Minsuk Kim opens from under the gun for 500 and finds one caller until Joseph Magnotti from cutoff three-bets to 1700. Kim and hijack stick around to see the flop 3♦ Q♥ 4♥ then they quickly check to Magnotti who follows it up with a 2000 bet. Only Kim join to the turn 8♥ where action is checked by both. On the river 7♦ , Kim leads out 6200, Magnotti let's it go without a fight.

Albert Castillo kicked off the hand with a 500 raise that found three players take interest however at the flop J♦ Q♣ 3♠ , Castillo's 5000 continuation bet was met with folds to claim the splash of chips.

Startiing off light and easy with a limp from cutoff, David Perreau and big blind Vijay Singh take the battle to the flop 5♠ 4♣ 9♥ . Singh passes the betting over to Perreau who dumps in 2000, Singh calls. On the turn 2♥ , Perreau unloads nearly all of his stack for a bet of 20,000 and it's enough to push out Singh from the pot.

Testing the waters early, Peter Ferrie opens 600 from cutoff and heads to the flop with two defenders. Ferrie continues for 1000 on a board 3♦ J♠ 3♥ and wins the pot easy.

Cards are now flying at the very first Okada Micro with 16 players getting an early start. For latecomers, registration stays open until the start of Level 10 at 4:30pm.

The 6th installment of Okada Manila Millions included a new key million guarantee event in the lineup, the Okada Micro, which players can enter for just PHP 4,500 (~US$ 80). This is a phased event running from April 7-9, 2025 with four entry flights across the first two days.

Players start with a stack of 25,000 which is equivalent to 125 times the starting big blind. For Flight A/B/C, blinds increase every 25 minutes, for Flight D (Turbo) blinds increase every 20 minutes then 15 minutes once registration closes.
