Thananan Uttawat open shoved 205,0000 with Q♦ J♦ and faced Wu Yi Syuan with A♣ K♥ . The board favored the short stacked Uttawat running lots of diamonds 6♥ 9♦ 7♦ T♦ 4♦ for a winning flush.

With action folding to the button Jonathan Looi, he raised 50,000. Big blind Wu Yi Syuan called and a flop landed 3♦ 3♥ Q♣ . Looi continued for 30,000, Syuan responded with a check-raise of 80,000, Looi called. On the turn 5♥ , action was checked to Looi again, he fired 135,000, Syuan let it go.

Within seconds of the first deal, short stacked Shih Chuan Shu shoved 6 bb holding a strong A♥ Q♥ however, Shu would not get past caller Wu Yi Syuan whos T♠ T♦ on a board running 5♠ T♥ K♠ Q♣ 3♦ . Shu is the first casualty of Day 3.

The inaugural Players Series 2024 Main Event resumes with Day 3 kicking off at 1pm local time at the CTP Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City, Taiwan. Returning today are the final 47 players, each one now guaranteed NTD 68,000. The plan is to play down to the final table of 9 players.

The game gets underway with blinds at 6000-12,000 with 20:35 remaining in the clock. Average stack is 477,446 (39 bb) giving players plenty of time to maneuver.

Wedged in between aggressive players, small blind Ling Yen Huang calls utg Philip Wang's 6000 raise, then again calls big blind Wu Yi Syuan's 21,000 three-bet. On the flop A♥ J♠ 3♦ , Huang tests the waters with a lead out bet of 13,000, Wu makes it 33,000, Wang tank-folds, and Huang calls. On the turn 9♦ , Huang puts pressure again with a lead out bet of 32,000, Wu tanks then gives it up.

Chong Wun Han opened for 3000 only to get popped by Wu Yi Syuan to 12,000. Action moved to Philip Wang who four-bet to 49,000. No takers.

With the turn 8♠ and river 3♣ , Syuan's higher two pair ships it to bounce out Sanroma.
