Okada Millions (8,000 PHP)

The sixth entry flight of Okada Millions wrapped up 31 survivors determined out of the 269 total entries. Local player Edgar Asehan bagged the lead of 659,000 which was much larger than his first stack of 71,000 which will be removed from play coming Day 2. At Asehan's heels was Ho-Tai Tsai who enjoyed a rush with back to back aces both getting value with knockouts. Tsai finished the flight with 623,000.

The Okada Millions resumes Day 2 at 1pm on Sunday, April 13, 2025. The prize pool has settled at PHP 11.1 Million (~US$ 196K) which set a new benchmark for this popular low-stakes event.

Yen Huang Ting delivered the bubble in Darryl Junming who three-bet all in for 79,000. Ting called with A♦ J♦ , Junming had a better kicker A♠ Q♥ . The board favored Ting, dropping a few diamonds 6♦ 6♠ K♦ 7♠ T♦ for the nut flush to end the flight.

Edgar Asehan opens 25,000 from under the gun and goes hunting down the streets with big blind defender Seoha Lee. At the flop 3♣ 9♠ J♣ , Asehan c-bets 22,00 and Lee check-calls. Asehan fires 65,000 on the turn 2♣ and again Lee check-calls. With the river Q♥ completing the board, Asehan shoves, Lee is well covered and opts to save his chips.

Florin Filip shows 108,000 with A♦ Q♠ and Alwin Goh risks his last 88,000 holding J♣ J♦ . The board runs 3♦ 2♥ 8♦ K♠ 7♥ , jacks dodge Filip's big cards to earn a double as the Romanian plunges to 2 bb.

Roxanne Victorino puts the heat on preflop with a raise of 10,000 that's met with a three-bet of 80,000 from Yen Huang Ting. Victorino tanks then four-bets to 300,000, Ting folds and shows Q♠ Q♣ . Victorino doesn't return the gesture.

Edwin Dela Cruz looks down at K♦ J♥ and raises 17,000 from early position. Down the orbit big blind Ryo Oikawa defends with K♥ 5♣ then they both check it to the turn 2♦ 3♠ T♦ K♠ . With top pair for both , Oikawa leads out 20,000, Cruz jams 75,000, Oikawa calls and sees he is out-kicked. With the river 6♠ , Cruz scores a double up.

Facing a raise from the button for 18,000, small blind Florencio Campomanes three-bets all in for 133,000. Beside him, Byoungwook Go calls for 131,000 and button gets out of the way.

Campomanes turns over K♥ Q♠ and is flipping with Go showing 9♣ 9♦ . The board runs out 5♠ 4♠ 7♠ T♣ 4♦ for a double up to Go and Campomanes down to half a small blind.

Roxanne Victorino raises 16,000, Alwin Goh on the big blind drives it to 52,000, Victorino makes the call for a flop A♠ 7♣ 2♠ . Goh continues with a lead out bet of 33,000 and it's enough to win the pot.

Short stacked John Calamiong shoves his last 6 bb wit K♣ 9♥ in the hole, Rolf Lopez calls and dominates with A♠ 9♣ . No bad beat nor scares show up on the board to bounce out Calamiong near the bubble.

Short stacked Raymundo Gomez is all in for his last 6 bb and is ahead A♦ 6♦ against caller Alvin Jeff Sembrano's K♣ J♦ but with the board dropping a jack at the flop 2♣ J♣ 8♣ , and further completing 5♦ 2♥ , Gomez gets the boot.

Short stacks go all in with Florencio Campomanes ahead A♦ 9♦ and Dexven Jay Gagante with Q♠ T♣ . Campomanes goes on to double up when both players miss the board.

Kyungwan Lee opens 10,000 with A♣ K♠ then gets hit back with a 35,000 reraise from big blind Ryo Oikawa who has Q♣ Q♥ . Lee answers with a four-bet jam of 149,000, Oikawa snap-calls.

When they face up, it's a classic flip that ends with a board J♦ 9♣ 9♦ 3♠ 5♣ and Oikawa sending Lee out of the flight.

Getting aces once and getting value is sweet and even sweeter when it happens back to back. The lucky player was Ho Tai Tsai who just railed a player and did the same to Jerick Medina with A♣ A♦ well ahead of Medina's A♥ J♠ on a board 6♦ 2♦ 6♠ 5♥ T♣ .

Following a raise of 13,000 that's called by Rolf Lopez, button Alvin Sembrano three-bets all in for his remaining 49,000 and gets called only by Lopez.

Sembrano shows A♦ Q♥ , Lopez is behind with A♣ T♣ , the board runs 3♠ K♥ 7♦ 9♠ 8♣ to award Sembrano full reload.

Perfect timing for Byungkun Son to get A♦ A♣ with Edilberto Gopez three-betting all in holding A♠ K♥ . When the board runs out 9♠ 3♥ 8♠ 3♦ 4♠ , Gopez plunges as Son ships a double.

Ho Tai Tsai gets dealt A♥ A♦ and raises 25,000. Big blind Paul Zehetleitner three-bets all in for 97,000 sending the action back to Tsai who snap-calls. Zehetleitner has K♠ J♠ which doesn't improve on the board 8♣ T♣ 6♦ Q♦ 7♦ for Tsai to double up.

Nay Ye Linn is dealt A♥ Q♦ and raises A♥ Q♦ from early position, at hijack Vishal Aswani three-bets all in for 47,000 with K♣ K♦ . Linn can afford it and makes the call.

No help comes for Linn at the flop 5♣ 2♦ 9♥ until the turn A♠ for a higher pair that holds after the river J♦ .

Facing a raise of 9000 from Michael Bueza, small blind Dee Hii three-bets all in for 28,000 and Bueza gives action.

Bueza opens 8♠ 6♠ , Hii has Q♣ Q♥ , the board runs 7♦ 7♥ K♥ K♣ J♣ , queens hold for Hii to scoop up a double.

Jeffrey Ballester shoves 43,000 with A♠ 8♥ and is at risk against caller Rolf Lopez with K♥ J♦ . Ballester is slightly ahead until the flop comes 3♣ J♠ 7♣ , for a pair. With the turn 3♦ and river Q♠ , that ends Ballester's run in this flight.

Jerick Medina raises 9000 and Ho-Tai Tsai flats from the button. At the flop T♣ K♠ T♥ , Medina continues for 5000, Tsai raises 15,000, this time it's Medina who flats then both check the turn J♥ . On the river Q♣ , Tsai jumps out for 50,000, Medina tanks for some time then calls. Tsai shows the straight and wins the pot.

Suk Hun Lee opens with a shove of 17,000 and goes head to head against caller Youngseok Baek who has him covered. At showdown, Lee has Q♥ T♥ , Baek with A♠ J♦ , the board runs 7♥ 8♠ 2♣ J♣ 3♥ giving Baek a pair to ensure the win and the bust.

Paul Zehetleitner takes the reins with raise of 6000, this finds two callers until Jesse Solidum three-bets 27,000. Zehetleitner answers with a four-bet all in for 87,000, everyone folds. Zehetleitner shows K♠ Q♠ .

Kyunghwan Lee defends on the big blind then calls Jerick Medina's 5000 c-bet on the flop T♠ A♠ K♣ . On the turn 5♠ , Lee jumps out for 25,000 and it's enough to get Medina to fold.

Following a raise of 6000 from under the gun, Rolf Lopez looks down at A♣ K♣ and three-bets all in 161,300. Vlad Ardeleanu joins with 60,500 behind and has A♦ K♦ , initial raiser folds.

With both players showing big slick, a split is likely until the board runs 2♣ 5♣ T♦ J♠ 7♣ giving Lopez the flush to boot Ardeleanu.

Ryan Tan makes it 5500 to and two players toss it in. They see a flop 5♣ 7♥ 6♣ where Tan continues for 4500. Only Yongkyun Kim gives him some action with a check-raise jam of 20,300, Tan calls.

Kim flips open 7♠ 8♥ top pair, Tan has K♣ Q♣ overcards and flush draw. The turn 9♠ givie Kim the straight and with the river A♦ Tan misses to pay the double up.

Three players in for 5000 each see a flop 6♥ 4♦ 3♦ where Paul Zehetleitner leads out 11,500 from the big blind resulting in one player to fold while Ho-Tai Tsai tanks then raises 26,000. Zehetleitner goes over the top with a jam of 101,500, that well covers Tsai who calls for everything behind.

Tsai shows 5♥ 6♣ top pair open ended, Zehetleitner with A♦ K♦ flush draw, the turn 4♥ and river 3♣ keep the Tsai's pair ahead to ship a double.

Ernesto Lorenzana has A♠ Q♦ and raises 6000 from cutoff. Big blind Raymundo Gomez has A♥ 7♣ and won't let him steal his blinds without a fight At the flop 8♥ A♣ T♥ , Gomez checks it to Lorenzana who continues for 8000 which is met with a raise of 70,000. Lorenzana only has 31,500 behind and calls for his tournament life.

With the turn 3♣ and J♣ , Lorenzana's kicker plays for a double up.

On a board showing 3♥ 8♠ 5♠ J♠ and 23,000 in the pot, big blind Rolf Lopez bets 12,000 and gets challenged with a 29,500 jam from Edilberto Gopez. Lopez tanks then lets go of his hand.

The sixth flight of the Okada Millions closed with 268 entries bringing the cumulative entries to 1,436 and the pot currently at over PHP 10 Million! This is a new prize pool record for the event and with Flight G still to complete, it makes for a healthy payout for all of the players that reach money.

Only 32 players will advance from this flight.

Level 7 has reached 203 entries with registration still open until the start of Level 11 at 8:40pm.

Flight F has now ballooned to 126 entries with plenty of time to still jump in. Registration closes at 8:40pm at the start of Level 11.

The field has now grown to 67 entries to bring the pot to over PHP 8.365 Million. Plenty of time to sign up with registration closing at 8:40pm at the start of Level 11.

Flight F is up and running with 19 players at the starting buzzer. That number will surely increase with plenty of fallouts from Flight E expected and late comers. This flight will see blinds increase every 20 minutes with registration closing at 8:40pm.

The PokerStars LIVE Okada Manila Millions resumes today, Saturday, April 12 with the final three entry flights to the flagship Okada Millions under the spotlight. The event has already surpassed its initial offering of PHP 5 Million with a cumulative 858 across the first four flights. How high will the pot go? That figure will be determined sometime later tonight. Buy in is just PHP 8,000 (~US$ 140) with registration closing at the start of Level 11 for each flight.

Up first is Flight E which kicks off at 12pm with registration closing at approximately 4:30pm. Blinds escalate at a 25 minute pace. Based on the previous flights, this should run about 8.5 hours.

Flight F gets underway at 5pm with blinds increasing every 20 minutes. Players have until 8:40pm to sign up. If you miss that window or fall short at the other flights, then the last chance to secure a spot in the money round is via Flight G which gets rolling at 9pm with registration closing at 11:40pm. This is the fastest running flight with blinds rising every 15 minutes.

To start, all players will begin with 25,000 which is 250 times the opening 100-100 ante 100 blinds. If you start the day by the first buzzer, that means plenty of room to chip up and choose your spots. The player to catch is Flight A leader Christian Lortie Cloutier with 700,000 in chips.
