Okada Millions (8,000 PHP)

The 6th edition of the PokerStars LIVE Okada Manila Millions wrapped up its flagship tournament with Beomhui Kang clinching the title after a one hand flip with Anacleto Quijano.

"This was my first championship and it's like a dream! I am very happy I won this championship. I am only a businessman. Poker is just my hobby."

Kang catapulted to the top of the counts after he eliminated Fahad Alanazi in 7th place. Alanazi had top pair top kicker which Kang defeated with two pair.

"My toughest opponent was seat 5 (Fahad Alanazi). He had A♠ 9♦ and I had 6♥ 9♥ and the flop had 5♣ 6♠ 9♣ two pair."

At three handed, an ICM deal was struck guaranteeing Kang the second largest payout of PHP 1,305,000 (~US$ 22,900). Added to his win was the APPT Package worth PHP 180,000. Congratulations to the champ!

The record breaking Okada Millions ran from April 10-13, 2025 at Okada Manila in Philippines. It being the most popular low-stakes tournament by PokerStars LIVE, it attracted players from all over the region pulling in 1,638 entries across seven flights. With buy in at just PHP 8000 (~US$ 140), it set a new prize pool high of PHP 11,185,574 (~US$ 196,300) with 196 players earning share.

Event Recap

The final day of the Main Event saw 189 players return to the felt, including Hernan Villa, the event’s inaugural champion, who came in strong after bagging the chip lead in Flight B. When the field thinned, entering chip leader Anacleto Quijano maintained his dominance, knocking out multiple opponents on his way to the final table.

Shortly before the ninth hour of play, Christian Cloutier was eliminated by Beomhui Kang in 10th place, setting the stage for the final nine. At the top of the counts, it was a tight race between Villa, Fahad Alanazi, and Quijano.

The sprint for the title took just 32 hands. One of the key moments came when Quijano scored a dramatic double knockout, sending Rodolfo Ramo and Joungwoo Park to the rail as the first two final table casualties. After Alanazi exited, Kang surged into the lead, but Quijano bounced back by eliminating Dino Sabatini, bringing the stacks nearly even.

Quijano regained momentum with the elimination of Vamerdino Magsakay, but it was Kang who sealed the deal in the end, taking out both Villa and Quijano to clinch the Main Event title.

The final two players opted to flip for the title. Anacleto Quijano had 3♠ 2♣ , Beomhui Kang ahead 9♠ 5♠ . The final board was Q♠ 4♣ 6♥ K♥ J♠ . Both missed for Kang's bigger card to play.

Hand #28: Beomhui Kang limps from the small blind, Anacleto Quijano checks. After the flop of T♣ 2♠ 7♣ , Kang checks then folds to Quijano's 500,000 bet.

Hand #29: Beomnui Kang raises 700,000 from the button and wins the blinds and ante.

Hand #30: Hernan Villa limps in from the small blind, Beomhui Kang checks the big blind, then both see a flop J♥ 6♥ 2♣ . Villa checks, Kang tests 400,000, Villa raises 1,200,000 and takes down the pot.

The final three players have reached an ICM deal that guaranteeing each one over a million. They will play for the trophy and the APPT Package worth PHP 180,000,

Hand #25: Hernan Villa raises 650,000 from under the gun, Vamerdino Magsakay defends on the big blind then folds to Villa's 700,000 bet on the flop J♣ K♣ 7♦ .

Hand #26: Anacleto Quijano looks down at Q♦ Q♠ and raises 675,000 from the button. Small blind Vamerdino Magsakay three-bets all in for 2,250,000 with J♠ J♥ . Quijano snap-calls and Magsakay sees the bad news.

With the board running 5♠ 3♣ 9♠ 4♠ 2♥ , Magsakay bows out in 4th place.

Hand #20: Beomhui Kang shoves and wins the blinds and ante.

Hand #21: Beomhui Kang raises 655,000 and wins the blinds and ante.

Hand #22: Third consecutive pot for Beomhui Kang who shoved and found no callers.

Hand #23: Vamerdino Magsakay jams and finds no callers.

Hand #17: Dino Sabatini raises to 800,000 and big blind Beomhui Kang defends his big blind. When the flop runs A♥ 8♥ 6♦ , Kang folds.

Hand #18: Everyone folds to the big blind Yen Ting Huang.

Hand #12: Anacleto Quijano opens 800,000 from under the gun and wins the blinds and ante.

Hand #13: Hernan Villa opens 500,000 and Anacleto Quijano defends. At the flop Q♥ 3♠ 8♥ , Villa continues for 325,000 and wins the pot uncontested.

Hand #14: Blinds have gone up to 150,000-300,000, Anacleto Quijano raises 1,800,000 from the small blind and big blind Dino Sabatini folds.

Hand #15: Yen Huang Ting opens from hijack for 1,200,000 and wins the blinds and ante.

Hand #16: Beomhui Kang shoves his massive stack from under the gun and finds no callers.

Hand #9: Hernan Villa opened 500,000 from under the gun and action folded around to the big blind Fahad Alanazi who tossed in the difference. Villa bet again on the flop 3♦ 5♠ K♠ for 700,000 and Alanazi check-called. On the turn 2♣ , Villa banged out 2,000,000 sending Alanazi tanking until he decided it was best to fold.

Hand #10: Action folds around to small blind Fahad Alanazi who jams and wins the blinds and ante.

Kang is ahead with two pair which holds on the turn 3♣ and river T♠ .

When the flop came 4♦ 2♣ 5♣ , Ramo was given hope with a flush draw, then with the turn A♥ , Quijano jumped ahead with top pair. The exciting hand ended with the river Q♦ knocking out two players.

Ramo finished in 9th place and Park finished in 8th place.

Hand #3: Joungwoo Park opens 500,000 and everyone folds.

Hand #4: Joungwoo Park raises again for 500,000 and still no callers.

Hand #5: Hernan Villa raises 500,000 from hijack and Beomhui Kang calls from cutoff. When the flop runs 9♥ A♠ 6♥ , Villa bets another 500,000 and Kang calls again. Villa decides to check the turn 4♦ , Kang reaches in and pulls out a 1,000,000 bet, Villa folds.

Hand #6: Vamerdino Magsakay raises 500,000 and wins the blinds and ante.

Hand #7: Beomhui Kang picks up another pot with a raise of 600,000 uncalled.

Hand #1: Fahad Alanazi has taken over the chip lead after winning the first pot of the final table. He limped in from the small blind and big blind Hernan Villa checked. Both players checked to the turn 9♦ A♥ T♦ T♠ where Alanazi slid out 200,000 and Villa called. On the river K♦ , it was back to checking. Alanazi showed K♠ 4♥ that bested Villa's 9♣ 2♦ .

Hand #2: Anacleto Quijano opened 800,000 and found no callers.

After nine hours of play, the final 9 playera of the record breaking Okada Million is set! They are now all guaranteed PHP 165,000 (~US$ 2,895) with the top prize looming over their heads worth PHP 1,877,574 (~US$ 32,590). Leading the pack is Hernan Villa, the first ever champion of this event.

Fahad Alanazi put it all on the line with A♥ 4♥ and 3,130,000 at risk, big blind Christian Cloutier called with A♦ 8♥ . With the board running A♠ 7♥ Q♣ J♣ , Cloutier's kicker was still in play until the river 4♣ paired up Alanazi to steal the win and survive.

Hernan Villa is on knockout mode. After he sent Marc Rivera to the rail, he did the same to Hosho Takahashi, and now another score by three-bet jamming on top of Fahad Alanazi 1,200,00 raise. Alanazi surrendered his hand.

With an ace quickly in the window, Villa improved as the board completed A♣ 9♥ 9♠ 7♠ Q♠ .

The board ran out 6♥ K♦ 4♥ 9♥ 2♦ . The field is now down to 12 players.

With the board running 2♠ A♦ 7♠ , Quijano jumped ahead and a double knockout was in sight however the turn J♦ and river 2♦ were runner runner diamonds for Park to survive.

After getting chunked down to crumbs, Marc Rivera is unable to recover and finishes in 15th place. On his last hand he was down to 50,000 and went all in with K♠ 9♦ . Royly Oracion called then folded to Fahad Alanazi who raised 1,000,00 to successfully isolate. Alanazi had A♥ T♠ . The board was 4♠ 5♥ Q♠ T♦ 5♠ .

With the board running 8♦ ah 8♠ 2♠ 9♦ , the double up for Villa is secured and his bid for a second title continues. In turn, Rivera plunges to 3 bb.

Rodolf Ramo shoved 640,000 (4 bb) and scored a double up off Anacleto Quijano. Ramo had A♦ Q♠ , Quijano had J♥ 8♥ , this time no hearts for Quijano on the board Q♣ 8♦ Q♦ 7♣ 6♥ .

Min-raising from hijack, Christian Cloutier gets called by two players for some post flop action on a board 6♥ 9♣ T♦ . Royly Oracion bets 350,000, Ting calls, then Cloutier check-raises all in for 3,410,000. No takers.

The moment Jeffrey Pamplona was looking for arrived with A♣ Q♣ in the hole good enough to shove his remaining 640,000 stack. Not much more for the big blind Anacleto Quijano who calls with J♥ 4♥ .

Though Pamplona is ahead, the board runs out 9♦ 3♥ A♥ K♥ T♦ for a flush to Quijano and Pamplona 17th place.

It is now down to the final two tables.

Upon revealing, both have two pair with Quijano backed by top kicker. The turn 6♠ and river Q♥ seals the win for Quijano to ship all of Angeles's chips.

Facing a raise of 435,000, short stacked Joemark Vasay goes all in for less. He opens 5♦ 6♦ and is behind Beomhui Kang's Q♣ J♦ . The board offers no help as it runs A♣ 2♥ 3♠ 3♣ T♥ . Vasay is eliminated in 20th place.

Despite having top kicker, the double is not to be as Sabatini spikes a pair on the board that completes J♣ 9♥ 7♦ 2♣ 9♠ .

With the board running T♥ J♠ 4♠ 3♥ Q♦ , Villa recovered some of the chips that were stolen.

After big blind Joemark Vasay defended by calling utg Royly Oracion's 240,000 raise, the barrage of bets continued down the streets starting with a 200,000 bet at the flop J♦ Q♥ 7♦ and 500,000 on the turn 4♣ . Vasay called both then on the river 7♣ , another check from Vasay saw Oracion go all in for 1,700,000, Vasay tanked then folded.

Facing a raise from Hernan Villa, Christian Cloutier jammed to win the pot. Next hand was a repeat performance. Villa raised again, Cloutier jammed again, Villa folded.

End of the road for Richard Marquez with just 7 bb left he went all in with 5♠ 6♠ . Marc Rivera called with A♠ T♣ . High notes only on the board 4♦ A♦ J♣ K♥ K♣ .

Fahad Alanazi opens 250,000 from cutoff then calls Joey Pardales's 475,000 re-raise. Alanazi does the same on the flop 7♠ J♣ 2♥ calling Pardales's 400,000 bet. On the turn 8♠ , Pardales checks it, Alanazi shoves, Pardales folds his hand.

With the turn J♠ and river T♦ , Alanazi's small pair holds to boot out Henoud.

Youngchang Choi barrels through this hand only to find he is behind the whole way for all of his chips to go to Vamerdino Magsakay. Before his demise, he opens for 175,000 with A♠ 7♥ at cutoff and big blind Magsakay makes the call with J♣ T♥ .

When the flop comes Q♠ K♥ A♣ , Choi picks up top pair while Magsakay has the nuts. Choi continues for 175,000 and Magsakay flats. Same on the turn 4♦ with a 250,000 bet from Chang called by Magsakay. When the board completes 4♠ , Choi fires 370,000, Magsakay jams with a covering stack, Choi calls for his tournament life and sees he is dead in the water.

Action folds to button Christian Cloutier who bumps it up to 160,000, Yen Huang Ting defends on the big blind. When the board runs J♠ K♥ 8♥ 5♥ , Cloutier fires 185,000 and 425,000, Ting tank-calls both to take it to the river T♥ . Ting switches gears and jumps out for 1,300,000, Cloutier gives up his hand. Ting rises past 4M.

Rodolf Ramo is faced with a raise from Fahad Alanazi and decides it's time to risk his last 375,000 with 4♥ 4♦ in the hole. Alanazi calls with K♥ 9♦ for a flip. The board runs low 2♣ 8♣ 7♣ 3♣ 8♥ for the small pair to win a double up.

Royly Oracion opens 130,000, button Beomhui Kang and small blind Fahad Alanazi join in to see a flop 6♥ A♠ J♦ . Oracion continues for 175,000 only to be met with a jam of 1,685,000 from Kang, Alanazi folds and Oracion follows behind.

Royly Oracion bumps it up to 140,000 only to get repopped to 390,000 by Beomhui Kang. Oracion responds with a shove of 1,170,000 and Kang gives it up.

Jihyun Kang raises 125,000, Youngchang Choi sends it back with a shove for 460,000, Kang makes the call and upon revealing is behind A♣ T♥ over A♦ Q♦ . The board offers no assistance as it felts 6♦ 4♥ 3♥ 2♥ 6♣ for Choi to get a boost.

Vamerdino Magsakay has A♥ K♦ and jams for 715,000. Next to act is Ruzzel Jose who has A♦ Q♦ . Jose makes the call. Magsakay goes on to double up with the board running T♣ 8♥ K♣ 6♦ Q♥ .

Richard Marquez raises 100,000 and is thrilled to see Wonil Bae jam 7045,000 into his K♥ K♠ . Bae has T♠ T♥ and is dominated. No change seen on a the board J♠ Q♠ 3♠ 5♥ 8♦ for Marquez to ship it in.

After Manabu Sato shoves 475,000 from cutoff, next to act Renato Villanueva does the same for 505,000. With the blinds folding, it's heads up. Villanueva has Q♥ J♦ , Sato with Q♠ T♣ . The board comes down 9♥ A♦ 3♥ 9♦ 6♠ to end Sato's day with an a lesser kicker.

Following a raise of 110,000 from cutoff, small blind Royly Oracion three-bets all in for 460,000 with K♥ 7♣ in the hole. Big blind Beomhui Kang four-bets all in and successfully isolates before showing A♠ 9♥ .

With the board running K♠ 8♦ 7♠ 6♥ 2♥ , Oracion survives the race and doubles through.

Jung Gi Hong shoves 750,000 then big blind Rommel Angeles joins with 635,000. At showdown, Angeles has a small pair and Hong has two overcards. The board doesn't give Hong the cards needed to overtake, instead runs 9♠ 2♠ J♠ J♦ Q♦ . Angeles doubles up.

Roxanne Victorino's strong run was put to an end by Joey Pardales who opened for 110,000 with Q♠ Q♦ . Victorino answered with a three-bet jam for 585,000 and Pardales snap-called. Victorino turned over A♦ T♣ .

No sweat for Pardales on a board 7♦ 9♥ 2♣ J♥ Q♣ to claim all of Victorino's chips.

Jeffrey Pamplona fires his last 710,000 into the fray backed by Q♠ Q♣ . Manabu Sato gives him a sweat with A♣ Q♥ . The board offers no scares for Pamplona to ship a double.

Howard Lee moved all in for his last 550,000 backed by A♠ 9♣ . Kai Ping Choo called with T♣ T♥ . Lee only had one overcard that missed the low board 6♥ 5♥ 3♥ 4♦ 3♦ to fall out of contention.

Fahad Alanazi made it 100,000 to go until I-Ting Lee jammed for 305,000. Alanazi called and had Lee out-kicked A♣ 8♠ over A♠ 3♦ . Both player paired at the flop A♣ 2♦ 6♥ with Alanazi's kicker still in play. On the turn K♠ a bust was eminent and proven so on the river 8♣ that improved Alanazi to two pair.

Ho-Tai Tsai's run has ended at the hands of the bulldozing Anacleto Quijano. Tsai had T♣ Tc and raised to 150,000, big blind Quijano defended. At the flop and turn 2♣ K♦ 3♥ 7♣ , Tsai bet 275,000 and 695,000 all it, but still couldn't scare away Quijano.

Quijano flipped over K♣ 8♣ top pair. With only a river miracle to help Tsai, it didn't materialize on the river 6♦ ,

With the board running 7♥ 5♠ Q♥ A♠ 8♠ , Takayama misses and Bae gets a reload.

The river 3♥ was no help to Daypuyart lose it all to Vasay.

Taking a look at the big stacks, Beomhui Kang has 2.3M and told us he won a pot with pocket Aces against pocket Threes. He also caught a bluffer, calling J9 offsuit on a board 5♥ 7♣ T♥ K♠ A♠ . The bluffer hand 6♥ 9♥ .

After losing on a showdown, John Niko Costiniano doubles up with A♥ 5♣ lucking out on the river against Ho-Tai Tsai who had A♠ 8♦ on a board 4♥ 7♦ 2♣ T♦ 5♦ .

Jeffrey Pamplona has A♦ K♣ and three-bets all in for 375,000. Initial raiser John Niko Costiniano has A♠ J♠ and makes the call. Pamplona quickly improves on the board, and with the turn K♥ 9♥ 7♦ K♠ 4♦ giving him trips, the double up is secured.

Micheal Colby opens 60,000 with K♣ K♥ in the hole then snap-calls Joon Hee Park's 380,000 shove. Park has T♠ T♦ which fails to improve on the board 4♥ 9♥ Q♥ K♦ 7♠ to get the boot.

Quick glance over, Roxanne Victorino has just railed Junichi Murakami with pocket Kings holding against Ace-Jack. Victorino adds 400K to her stack.
