Okada Millions (8,000 PHP)

That's a wrap for the Okada Millions Flight D with 222 entries whittled down to just 26 players securing their spot in the Day 2 lineup. The heat concluded at the fall of Alekhine Isidro to Joungwoo Park who went on to bag up the second largest stack of the flight of 392,000 in chips.

Ahead of him by one spot was China's Pan Yao with a 472,000 in chips. Yao gained momentum during the late rounds delivering busts to Naoki Kato and Jun Beum Chun.

The survivors have a day's rest before returning on Sunday, April 13 for the final race to glory. They are each guaranteed a piece of the prize pool which is currently at PHP 5.89 Million. That pot will rise further with three more flights yet to be tabled.

So far, the flagship tournament has drawn cumulative 858 entries with 102 players advancing to the money round which includes one double qualifier. Still leading the Day 2 lineup is Flight A leader Christian Lortie Cloutier with 700,000 in chips.

Flight A: 202 entries / 24 ITM

Flight B: 171 entries / 21 ITM

Flight C: 263 entries / 31 ITM

Flight D: 222 entries / 26 ITM

Alekhine Isidro will have to re-enter tomorrow's flight if he intends to find his way to the money round after falling on the bubble to Joungwoo Park. The hand kicked off with a 20,000 raise from Park that Isidro called from the big blind.

When the flop ran 4♦ K♣ 6♦ , Park bet 20,000, Isidro check-raised all in for 100,000, Park snap-called and showed K♦ Q♦ top pair and a flush draw. Isidro was out-kicked with K♠ 5♠ . A dramatic turn 5♦ gave Park the flush while Isidro still had outs for the full house however it didn't pan out on the river T♠ .

With no action before him, button player Pan Yao raises 16,000. Big blind Jun Beum Chun thinks it's time to risk his last 35,000 which is cheap enough for the big stacked Yao who calls.

Upon revealing, Chun is ahead with Q♥ 6♥ against Yao's T♣ 9♠ and improves further on the flop Q♠ 8♠ 2♠ . However with the turn 6♠ , Yao takes the lead with the flush. And with the river 4♥ , Chun doesn't find the boat to get the boot.

Down to just 64,000 (8 bb), Vishal Aswani lays it on the line with 5♠ 5♦ in the hole. He is called by Ian Moyani with A♣ 4♣ . When the flop comes 4♦ 6♣ K♥ , Moyani improves but is still behind. No change on the turn J♥ but with the river 4♥ , Moyani lands trips and eliminates Aswani who gets up disappointedly while saying, "story of my life".

With a pot of 35,000 brewed, big blind Gyeong Tae Yoo bets 7000 on a flop 8♣ 9♦ 6♥ and Ian Moyani calls. On the turn 7♥ , another bet from Yoo of 13,000 is laid out and it's enough to win the pot uncontested.

Wonil Bae opens 12,000 from hijack and Prolan Fandialan call for some action to the flop 2♦ Q♣ 9♣ . Bae continues for 10,000 and Fandialan calls to head to the turn T♣ . Bae passes over the betting and Fandialan takes the opportunity to bet 15,000 only to be answered with a raise of 45,000. Fandialan lets go of his hand and drops to 9 bb.

With 27,000 in the pot, Alekhine Isidro and Joungwoo Park check to the turn 8♥ 7♣ T♥ Q♣ . No more checking for Park who puts out an 8000 bet that Isidro calls. On the 9♦ river, Park returns to checking while Isidro challenges for 11,000, Park calls and shows 9♠ 8♣ two pair. Isidro has him beat with 5♣ 6♣ straight.

Three players in for 10,000 each see a flop run J♠ 2♠ 7♣ . Action checks to the button Woosuk Chang who bets 15,000 in position. Only Nichols Manalo calls to bring about the turn T♣ where Chang fires a larger 30,000 bet. Manalo folds.

Another big field at Okada Millions as Flight D of the Okada Millions attracted 222 entries. Only 26 of those are guaranteed a seat in the money round. We will track the action shortly.
