That’s a wrap on Day 1C of the Poker Dream Juju 16 Main Event here at the Poker Dream Jeju 16 Main Event hosted at Jeju Shinhwa Landing Casino in Jeju Island, South Korea. The third of 11 starting flights attracted 130 entrants and by the end of the night just 20 players remained.

After nearly 14 levels Xu Jing emerged as the Day 1C chip leader, finishing the night with 460,000. Xu scored a flurry of knockouts late in the evening on his way towards bagging the largest stack. Xu is most closely followed by Hyunyeong Kang (381,000) while Xiangyu Yu rounds out the top three with 338,000.

Nine starting flights remain, with Day 1D currently underway and Day 1E starting tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. local time, with a buy-in of KRW 2,400,000 (~1,700 USD). Later that evening, Day 1F takes place, featuring a buy-in of KRW 1,600,000 (~USD 1,100).

With two players seeing a board of 5♣ 8♣ A♣ Q♦ A♦ and 63,000 in the middle Xiangyu Yu bet 53,000 from under the gun and Po Lam Lun called from the hijack.

Lun showed two pair with K♣ Q♦ but Yu had a full house with A♠ Q♠ to win the pot.

Yuxin Cai opened to 6,000 from under the gun, Xiangyo Yu shoved for 116,000 from the button and Cai called with a covering stack to put him at risk.

The 4♦ K♦ 3♥ 5♣ A♥ runout gave Yu a set of kings to double up through Cai.

In a preflop confrontation Yu Liu was all in for 50,900 from the big blind and up against Xiangyu Yu who covered him from the cutoff.

The board ran out 4♦ J♠ 5♣ J♦ 7♦ . Liu was good at showdown with two pair, kings and jacks to double up.

In a preflop confrontation Ye Li was all in from the small blind for 21,300, Nicholas Michael Ng Yi Wen was all in for 33,400 from middle position and Xiangyu Yu was all in from under the gun, covering both players.

The board ran out 4♦ 8♥ 4♠ 5♥ 4♥ . Li was good at showdown with a full house to triple up while Yu took the side pot and Wen was sent to the rail.

With two players seeing a board of 5♣ 8♣ 8♥ and 7,300 in the middle Xiangyu Yu checked from early position and called a 2,100 bet from Zhongcai Peng who was in the hijack.

Yu check-called another bet from Peng on the ah turn, this time for 5,200. On the T♦ river Yu checked, Peng bet 20,200 and Yu burned through four time banks before opting to fold.
