That’s a wrap on Day 1C of the Poker Dream Juju 16 Main Event here at the Poker Dream Jeju 16 Main Event hosted at Jeju Shinhwa Landing Casino in Jeju Island, South Korea. The third of 11 starting flights attracted 130 entrants and by the end of the night just 20 players remained.

After nearly 14 levels Xu Jing emerged as the Day 1C chip leader, finishing the night with 460,000. Xu scored a flurry of knockouts late in the evening on his way towards bagging the largest stack. Xu is most closely followed by Hyunyeong Kang (381,000) while Xiangyu Yu rounds out the top three with 338,000.

Nine starting flights remain, with Day 1D currently underway and Day 1E starting tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. local time, with a buy-in of KRW 2,400,000 (~1,700 USD). Later that evening, Day 1F takes place, featuring a buy-in of KRW 1,600,000 (~USD 1,100).

Xian Xiao opened to 18,000 from under the gun and Lei Li defended from the big blind.

The flop came 2♦ 6♥ 5♣ and both players checked leading to the A♦ turn. Li checked, Xiao bet 5,000, Li check-raised to 18,000 and Xiao called.

Li bet 22,000 on the 4♣ river and this time Xiao opted to fold.

Lei Li opened to 4,000 from the cutoff, Jiaqi Teng three-bet to 15,500 from the small blind, Martin Nielsen called from the big blind and Li called.

The flop came T♥ 4♠ K♥ and Teng fired a 5,000 continuation bet that both opponents called.

Teng continued for 30,000 on the 8♠ turn. Nielsen shoved for 33,000, Li called with his remaining stack of 17,500 and Teng called, covering both players.

Both Nielsen and Teng had a set while Li had an open-ended straight draw. The 9♠ river brought the straight in for Li who tripled up while making a dent in Teng’s stack and sending Nielsen to the rail.

A player from under the gun opened to 900 and received calls from Yifan Zhang in the cutoff and Lei Li in the small blind.

The flop came 5♥ T♥ 8♠ and action checked around to Zhang who bet 1,300. Only Li called.

Li check-called a 5,300 bet from Zhang on the 4♠ turn before both players checked the Q♣ river. Li showed third pair with 8♣ 7♦ but

Zhang had him beat with J♣ JD to win the pot.

With three players seeing a board of 5♦ ah 8♥ and 7,900 in the middle Yongbin Wang checked in the small blind. Yifan Zhang bet 6,000 from early position, Lei Li folded from the hijack and Wang folded.

With two players seeing a board of A♥ 9♣ T♠ 7♠ and 23,700 in the middle, Si Ng Pun checked and folded to a 6,500 bet from Lei Li who was on the button.
