Dixon Pang Comes Out On Top In Flight B Of The APT Incheon 2025 Main Event

Flight B of the APT Incheon 2025 Main Event has wrapped up, drawing 236 entrants (196 unique) who each put up the KRW 2,500,000 buy-in (~USD 1,800) to take their shot at a piece of the massive KRW 1,500,000,000 (~USD 1,085,485) guaranteed prize pool. After 10 levels of play, the field thinned down to 99 survivors, all securing a seat for Day 2.

Leading the pack at the end of the session is Singapore's Dixon Pang, who climbed to the top of the chip counts thanks to a strong final level, bagging an impressive 225,100 chips to close out the day. Close behind is China's Junjie He (217,300), followed by Yu-Chien Kung from Taiwan, rounding out the top three with 214,600 chips.

With Flight A (250 entries) and Flight B (236 entries) now in the books, the APT Incheon 2025 Main Event so far has amassed 486 total entries.

Flight C kicks off on August 5 at 11:00 AM, with registration closing at 5:10 PM after 10 levels. The structure features six 30-minute levels followed by four 40-minute levels. Later in the day, Flight D begins at 6:00 PM, with registration closing at 12:10 AM after 10 levels. It follows the same structure as Flight C, offering one final chance for players to run up a stack before Day 2 begins.

On the very last hand, Zong Chi He collected one elimination, capping off his night in satisfying fashion.

He raised to 37,000 from middle position, only to be jammed on by Zhitao Sheng for 21,000 on the button, putting himself at risk.

Kung Heats It Up; Yang Takes It Down

Yu Chien Kung opened from under the gun to 3,000 and Hongwei Yang called in the cutoff.

Kung continued for 3,500 on the A♣ 7♠ 2♠ flop and Yang stuck around.

When the dealer revealed an 8♠ turn, Kung fired another barrel of 8,500. Yang came along for the ride.

The Q♣ filled out the board, and Kung kept his aggression with his third barrel of 25,000. This didn't deter Yang from cranking it up to 52,000, sending Kung into the tank.

After mulling it over, Kung eventually opted to fold and relinquish the sizable pot.

The flop came down Q♦ T♣ 9♦ and the preflop aggressor started with a check. Pang made a bet of 7,000 which was met by a raise to 18,000 by Fukutomi. This wasn't enough for Pang, who now moved all-in, totalling 61,800. His Japanese opponent made the call, covering Pang.

We picked up the action on the flop, where button player Chzhen Evgenii bet 2,300 into three opponents. The big blind folded, but Sai Chau in middle position and Shingo Kawagoe in late position both made the call.

Second Flight of APT Incheon 2025 Main Event Ready to Take Off

It's Day 4 of the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Incheon 2025 at the Paradise City Casino Running from August 1st until August 10th, the APT Incheon 2025 features 97 scheduled tournaments. Of course, the most anticipated one is the Main Event that offers a whopping KRW 1,500,000,000 (~USD 1,080,280) guaranteed prize pool.

Poker pros and aficionados can enter the tournament for a KRW 2,500,000 (~USD 1,800) buy-in and a chance to win a lion's share of the prize pool and a coveted APT Lion trophy.

Flight A already concluded its ten levels yesterday with 250 players taking to the felt. That field was trimmed down to 89 survivors at the conclusion of the flight, who were able to bag their chips and continue their Main Event journey onto Day 2, which plays out on August 6th.

Today, Flight B will bring together another set of hopefuls, who will navigate through another 10 levels with a starting stack of 40,000 in the hopes of joining the 89 advancers from Flight A. There will be six 45-minute levels and 4 one-hour levels for today's flight.
