Abraham Ceesvin Leads the Pack Going into Day 3 of 2025 APT Incheon Main Event

After a relatively short bubble period in the 2025 APT Incheon Main Event, 191 players have locked up a payout and secured their spots in Day 3. While all will be guaranteed a min-cash, they'll have their minds focussed on claiming the lion's share of the impressive KRW 2.7BN prize pool.
Leading the field is Singapore’s Abraham Ceesvin, who finished Day 2 with an impressive 954,000 chips. Hot on Ceesvin’s heels is Japan’s Shuzo Sekine with 867,000 chips followed closely by his compatriot Kazuhiro Shirasawa with 792,000 who rounds out the top three.

Ceesvin has just under $800,000 in live earnings and three APT Main Event Final Tables on his resume, his best being a runner-up finish in APT Taipei Poker Classic 2024 Main Event.
Also sitting in the top ten and not too far behind the leaders is Tomoyuki Yoshimiya who picked up a monster pot late in the day against Haibo Yang.
British player and APT Taipei Zodiac Event winner, Jun Li, who has over $700,000 in live earnings is in the mix sitting in sixth spot with 673,000 chips.
Jian Han sits in fifth spot with 717,000 chips after picking up a massive pot when his kings held against Tattana Pengduen’s King-Queen.

Other Notable Players Bagging Up
American player Daniel Lee will be looking to take his lifetime earnings to over $1,000,000 and is sitting just outside the top ten spots in 12th place with 587,000 chips.
Uzbeki Valeriy Pak (472,000) who was one of the Main Event finalists in 2023 when the APT last visited Incheon. Former APT Incheon 2019 Main Event champion Dicky Tsang is still in the hunt with 175,000 chips along with Natural8 Ambassador Phachara Wongwichit who is still going strong with 230,000 chips. Poseidon Ho is still making waves and in the mix with 255,000 chips.
A special mention must go out to former APT head of live poker operations Lloyd Fontillas (463,000) who shows he can play as well as officiate.
Korea National Cup opening event winner Kevin Choi bagged up 544,000 chips along with his Hong Kong compatriot Jason Chau (537,000).

Start-of-day chip leader Chi Hsiang Chiu (400,000) has made it through to Day 3 along with Flight D frontrunner Dongying Ling (354,000).
All remaining players are guaranteed a minimum pay-out of KRW 3,760,000(~$2,700) but all will be eyeing up the first-place prize of KRW 483,700,000 (~$261,680).
Day 3 resumes at 11:15am local time and play will start at Level 18 through 10 levels or until the field is reduced to 48 players — whichever comes first.

Bubble Bursts for Nakayama on Clubby Turn

On the direct bubble, Takumi Nakayama open-shoved from under the gun for 97,000. Daito Yamashita put in the call in the big blind.

It was a classic coinflip, and Nakayama still had a chance to score a double-up.
The dealer delivered a monochrome 8♣ T♣ 4♣ flop, no help for Nakayama and giving Yamashita a flush draw.
On the very next street, the deck answered who would be the bubble boy as another club 9♣ jumped in on the turn, leaving Nakayama drawing dead.
The K♦ came only to fill out the board and officially ship the pot Yamashita’s way.

Jeremy Chan Is The Penultimate Bubble Boy

It folded around to Jeremy Chan on the button, who opened with around 70,000 behind. Quan Cui in the small blind responded by moving all-in, easily covering Chan. After a brief pause, Chan made the call—putting his tournament life at risk just two eliminations away from the money.

Abraham Ceesvin made it 10,300 to go from the hijack and Zhiying Zhou shoved the button for 94,000. Tae Hoon Han also moved all in with a covering stack from the small blind. Ceesvin stepped aside, leaving the female player's tournament life on the line.

The turn brought the T♣ and again Yang checked. Yoshimiya now cranked it up and bet out for 75,000. Yang went into the tank and called.
The river saw the Q♠ come and yet again Yang checked. Yoshimiya piled the pressure on again and bet out for 125,000 this time. Yang pushed out his remaining two time banks and the dealer pulled both of these in and with the clock showing two seconds remaining Yang released his hand and the huge pot was pushed Yoshimiya's way with no showdown.

Ji Applies Pressure With The Bubble Approaching

With the money bubble looming, the big stacks have started turning up the heat. In this hand, it folded around to Selim Oulmekki on the button, who opened the action. Xiaqing Ji, seated in the small blind, responded with a three-bet to 35,000. Oulmekki made the call to see a flop.
The dealer spread a board of Q♣ 5♦ 4♥, and Ji continued with a down-sized c-bet of 16,000. Oulmekki came along.
The turn brought the J♥, and Ji kept the pressure on, firing 35,000 into the middle. This second barrel was enough to push Oulmekki out of the pot, as Ji chipped up without showdown—textbook bubble play.

Massive Pot For Han
The hand kicked off with an early-position open from Tsan Li. Jinqi Wang flatted from middle position, before Jian Han applied pressure with a squeeze to 36,000. Tattana Pengduen on the button cold-called the three-bet, and Li came along as well, sending four players to the flop.
The dealer fanned out Q♣ J♣ 6♠, and after it was checked around to Pengduen, the Thai player put out a sizable bet of 62,000. Li folded quickly, but Wang went deep into the tank.
After nearly a minute of thought, Wang shoved all-in, barely covering Pengduen's remaining stack of 280,000. Pengduen made the call, setting up one of the biggest pots of the tournament so far.
