On the flop and turn K♣ A♣ 5♠ 8♠ , Mordassov bets 210,000 and 120,000, only button Wei Chen Lin calls while Kurushima Hiroya folds at the flop. The river 6♥ , Mordassov checks then snap calls Lin's 500,000 bet.

Oleg Mordassov opens 230,000 then calls Kurushima Hiroya three-bet of 600,000. At the flop Q♥ Q♦ 4♥ , Kurushima continues 500,000, Mordassov raises 1,100,000, no call.

On a raised pot preflop, aggressor Oleg Mordassov c-bets 110,000 and Kurushima Hiroya check-calls. Both check down the turn 7♣ and river 3♠ . Mordassov's Q♣ Q♠ wins over A♥ 4♣ .

Utg+2 Redentor Edoc opens and big blind Kurushima Hiroya calls then leads out 100,000 on the flop 7♣ 2♦ 4♦ . Edoc answers with 375,000, Kurushima calls. On the turn K♥ , Edoc sends out 550,000 and Kurushima check-calls. Both check the river. Kurushima shows J♦ 7♦ flopped top pair which is good as Edoc mucks.

Utg+2 Kurushima Hiroya opens and heads to the flop 6♣ 5♠ 2♠ with two callers. They all check to the turn 7♠ , then Kurushima bets 250,000. Only Wei Chen Lin continues to the river 3♣ . Both check. Lin has A♥ 2♣ , Kurushima's pocket pair 8♣ 8♠ is better.

Kurushima Hiroya opens and finds one caller Kun Lim on the big blind. When the board runs J♠ 9♦ 8♥ 3♥ 6♥, Kurushima bets 100,000 on the flop that's called, both check the turn then 100,000 bet again by Kurushima on the river that's not called.

Facing a raise by Kurushia Hiroya, big bind Redentor Edoc defends and proceeds to check-call bet of 100,000, 250,000 on the flop and turn Q♣ 7♦ 3♦ A♣ . Both players check the river J♥ . Edoc has Q♦ J♣ , Kurushima mucks.

Utg+2 Oleg Mordassov opens 125,000 and entering chip leader on the big blind Kurushima Hiroya defends. When the flop lands Q♠ 7♠ 3♥ ,Mordassov continues with 100,000 and takes the pot.

The APPT Warm Up Main Event completed Day 2 with the field trimmed from 105 players to the Final 9. Two Japanese players secured their spot with Kurushima Hiroya at the very top and Hiroaki Terasaka bringing up the rear.

In numbers, three locals advanced and will try to keep the title on home court. Returning players are Ron Ryan Mesina, Badrudin Ampatuan, and Redentor Edoc. Impressively, Mesina was down to just 5 bb and recovered to bag up 19.

Utg Jonald Garcia opens 105,000 and is called by Kurushima Hiroya on the button. Flop runs 6♥ 8♦ 5♠ , Garcia c-bets 150,000 and Kurushima sticks with him. The turn 7♥ Garcia checks, Kurushima bets 250,000, Garcia shoves, Kurushima calls with less behind.

Facing a raise by Bell John Perez that's called, big blind Kurushima Hiroya defends with a 40,000 three-bet. Perez calls while the other folds. Seeing a flop A♠ 3♦ 7♣ , Hiroya bets 30,000, Perez bumps it up to 100,000, Hiroya pushes, Perez tank-folds after one time bank.

Cezar Quiambao comes in for a min-raise at early position and eventually completes the 24,000 re-raise from small blind Kurushima Hiroya. Kurushima c-bets 12,000 on a T♣ 6♠ 5♦ flop then folds to Quiambao's 42,000 raise.

Cezar Quiambao raises to 9,000 from under the gun and finds Kurushima Hiroya as the lone caller at cut-off. Quiambao c-bets 12,000 the J♦ A♥ 4♠ flop and is called by Hiroya to see a 6♦ turn. Quiambao fires off 25,000 to be called again. Both check the river 6♠ . Quiambao shows K♠ Q♣ which loses out to Hiroya's A♠ T♦ .
