It’s officially go time at UOB LIVE, Emsphere, as Day 2 of the WPT Prime Thailand Exhibition Championship kicks off with 293 returning players, all already in the money and guaranteed a minimum THB 60,000 (~USD 1,845) travel fund payout.

After four turbo-paced flights and a monumental 2,337-entry debut, the stage is now set for a thrilling race to the finish, backed by a staggering THB 75,487,659 (~USD 2.3M) prize pool. With stacks deepening and pressure mounting, the pursuit of Thailand’s first-ever WPT Prime title is officially underway.

The eventual champion will claim a life-changing THB 11,477,000 (~USD 350,000) in travel funds and a coveted passport to the WPT World Championship in Las Vegas, one of the most prestigious stops on the global poker calendar.

Among the frontrunners heading into battle include Zhiqiang Meng, Haiyang Zhang, Junjie Wang, Dongchen He, and Wei Jen Wang, each soaring past the million-chip mark. But with blinds escalating and talent stacked across the field, no one is safe and nothing is guaranteed.

In the mix today is Chih Wei Chen, the only player in the field to qualify twice, kicking the restart with his Day 1A stack of 302,000. Meanwhile, ten local Thai players, who earned their spots through freeroll satellites are also returning to the felt, proudly representing the host nation in this historic debut.

Action will recommence at 6:00 PM, with players set to grind through fifteen 20-minute levels, bagging just before the clock hits midnight.
